Our Classroom Constitution

Every one has the right to be happy, and to be treated with kindness in this room; this means that no one will laugh at another person, ignore another person, or hurt another person’s feelings.

Every one has the right to be him or herself in this room; this means that no one will treat another person unfairly because he or she is fat or thin, fast or slow, boy or girl.

Every one has the right to be safe in this room; this means that no one will hit another person, kick another person, push another person or pinch another person.

Every one has the right to listen and be listened to in this room; this means that no one will yell-scream-or shout, and that every person’s opinions and desires will be considered in any plans we make.

Every one has the right to learn about her or himself in this room; this means that every person will be free to express her or his feelings and opinions without being interrupted or punished.
